Hello West Fork High School Families,

We have been preparing for the upcoming school year and it is with great excitement that we welcome the West Fork Class of 2027🎓, as well as our returning Class of 2026🎓.


📅The first day of school is August 7th.


West Fork families are invited to come pick up their schedule, get information about this school year and tour West Fork High School on the following dates:

🔟th Grade - July 26th 4:30-7:30 pm

9️⃣th Grade - July 27th 4:30-7:30 pm


Please complete the returning student verification by utilizing Skyward Family Access and upload proof of residency prior to coming to the campus for schedule pick up. (proof of residency link was emailed on July 18 from laserfiche@newcaneyisd.info) If you need your login information for Skyward please call 281-577-2825 for assistance. Complete by noon on 7/26 to expedite the schedule pick up process.

❗🚍❗Important Transportation Information❗🚍❗

If you believe your child may need to ride the bus to or from school at any time during the school year, please indicate this on the transportation form in the online verification in Skyward. Changes later in the year may take up to 48 hours for a student to be routed. Students will not be routed if the transportation form is not completed.


Students will use the same smart tag from the 22-23 school year. Replacement tags are $5.


Use SMARTtag™ Parent Portal to view bus number and sign up for notifications when the bus is nearing its stop. Parents are also able to manage trusted guardians who are authorized to assist their young child at the bus stop. To access the Parent Portal, please click HERE.

School Hours & Bell Schedule
Doors open at 6:45 am, breakfast is available from 6:45 - 7:10 am. Students should be seated in their first assigned class no later than 7:15 am. Dismissal is at 2:50 pm
New Caney ISD A / B Day Schedule
NCISD schools follow an alternating block schedule. On A day students attend classes 1-5 and on B day attend classes 6-10.

Smart Tag is an online portal for parents and guardians to obtain transportation information. This includes bus number, pick up and drop off location. Sign up to get alerts 10 minutes prior to the bus arrival.
Dress Code, Attendance Policy and Student Handbook
Note and review dress code violations related to blouses, leggings, shorts, piercings, appropriate pants, shoes and head coverings.

West Fork High School Communication Methods

📧West Fork High School will utilize Skyward and Remind to communicate campus information. Each of these platforms use the email address and/or phone number on file when registration is completed. Staff will use email communication to send grade reports, information about school events, or other communication relative to a class.

Sometimes emails from Skyward end up in spam folders, please allow all emails from skyward or newcaneyisd.org.

Remind 101 is how parents will receive reminders and other communication regarding events your child is involved in at West Fork. We kindly request that you allow these notifications on your personal device from your child's school.
