We have officially entered our final month of school! We are excited to enjoy these final weeks with students and we all plan to finish strong. We only have Girls on the Run taking place after school for students in May. The last day for Girls on the Run will be May 15.

Please ensure all students return their library books.

Chromebook collection will take place on May 14 in the IMC during the school day. Please ensure students bring back all chargers and remove stickers from their devices.

¡Hemos entrado oficialmente en nuestro último mes de escuela! Estamos muy contentos de disfrutar de estas últimas semanas con los estudiantes y todos tenemos la intención de terminar fuerte. Sólo tenemos Girls on the Run que tendrá lugar después de la escuela para los estudiantes en mayo. El último día para Girls on the Run será el 15 de mayo.

Por favor, asegúrese de que todos los estudiantes devuelvan sus libros de la biblioteca.

Cedar Ridge Field Day 2025 is coming up on Monday, May 19th. We would love for you to come and volunteer at a station and have some fun with our Rockets.

We will have two sessions. A morning session for 3rd, 4th, 5th and an afternoon session for K,1,2.

8:30-10:30 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades

12:00-2:00 Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades

El Día de Campo 2025 de Cedar Ridge se acerca el lunes 19 de mayo. Nos encantaría que vinieras y fueras voluntario en una estación y te divirtieras con nuestros Cohetes.

Tendremos dos sesiones. Una sesión en la mañana para 3rd, 4th, 5th y una sesión en la tarde para K,1,2.

Cedar Ridge is excited to announce that this year’s 5th Grade Recognition will be held on Tuesday, May 20th from 1:00 to 1:45, here at Cedar Ridge! Parents/Guardians are welcome to come help recognize and honor our 5th graders, as they end their educational careers as elementary school students, and begin their careers as growing middle schoolers. The celebration will begin in the halls of Cedar. Families, staff, and students will line the halls and give the 5th graders a giant red carpet Clap Out! Feel free to bring posters and other visual props to help celebrate our students!

Following the Clap Out, 5th grade students, staff, and families, will gather in the gym for a final get together. Included in the get-together, will be a photo booth, treats, and a special presentation. Parents and guardians will have the option to take their child home with them at the end of our celebration. Please find your child’s classroom sign out sheet to sign out, prior to leaving.

Cedar Ridge se complace en anunciar que el Reconocimiento de 5to Grado de este año se llevará a cabo el martes 20 de mayo de 1:00 a 1:45, ¡aquí en Cedar Ridge! Los Padres / Tutores son bienvenidos a venir a ayudar a reconocer y honrar a nuestros alumnos de 5to grado, ya que terminan sus carreras educativas como estudiantes de primaria, y comienzan sus carreras como estudiantes de secundaria en crecimiento. La celebración comenzará en los pasillos de Cedar. Las familias, el personal y los estudiantes se alinearán en los pasillos y les darán a los estudiantes de 5to grado un Aplauso Gigante (Clap Out) en la alfombra roja. ¡Siéntase libre de traer carteles y otros accesorios visuales para ayudar a celebrar a nuestros estudiantes!

Después del Aplauso Gigante (Clap Out), los estudiantes de 5to grado, el personal y las familias, se reunirán en el gimnasio para una reunión final. Incluido en la reunión, será una cabina de fotos, golosinas, y una presentación especial. Los padres y tutores tendrán la opción de llevar a su hijo a casa con ellos al final de nuestra celebración. Por favor, busque la hoja de salida de su hijo/a para firmar antes de salir.

Girls on the Run has started and takes place on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 - 4:00 PM. Please make sure students have water and running shoes. The last day for Girls on the Run will be on May 15.

Please remember to contact the school office as soon as possible if your child will be absent. You can call the attendance line at 309-557-4462 or email our secretary, Brooke Starr, at starrbr@unit5.org and the classroom teacher to report the absence. Be sure to include your child's name, grade, and reason for the absence.
