Please arrive any time between 5:00 and 6:30 p.m.; our evening will end at 7:00 p.m. See this flyer for more information.
Delivery Error for Valentine View
There was a delivery error for our first two January issues. Many of our families did not receive the email. This has been corrected and we apologize for any inconvience this may have caused. Just a reminder that our newsletters are on the front page of our website for approximately two weeks.
School Apparel Store Open Year-Round
Show your school spirit! Starting this month, our apparel stores will be open year-round. Orders will be processed on the 10th of every month, with delivery happening approximately 3 weeks from that date. Find your school store and place an order at mvpschools.org/spiritwear.
Picking Up Your Child Early/Change of Transportation Reminders
If you need to pick your child up early from school, please use the following procedure:
- About 5 minutes before you need to pick up, call the main office at 651-621-7800. Please provide us with your child's name and teacher's name.
- Do not leave a voicemail on our attendance line.
- Towards the end of the day, please pick up no later than 3:45 p.m. It becomes a challenge to call into classrooms because they are starting to wrap up the day.
If you need to change how your child goes home at the end of the day, please use the following procedure:
- Call the main office no later than 2:30 p.m. Someone has to leave the office to drop these notes off to the teacher and the end of the day gets very busy.We must stick with this cut off time. Calls placed after 2:30 p.m. will not be honored.
- Do not contact the teacher directly. Teachers do not check emails/voicemails throughout the day. If they are out sick, they won't get your message until the next day.
- If this is a permanent change, please contact the teacher directly in advance of the change.
- If your child is not going to YCare, please contact them to let YCare know that your child will not be attending. If you need them to go to parent pick-up instead of YCare, we encourage you to park and use the YCare entrance to collect your child.

Amazon Wishlist
We are excited to share the Amazon Wishlist we are hosting on behalf of the Valentine Hills Staff!. This will be an evergreen list that staff will continue to add to as their needs change and we will share it throughout the year.
Each item will have a teacher or staff member's name and urgency listed next to it. There is obviously no obligation at all but we are just excited to help support staff in any extra way we can. If you choose to order an item, we ask that you please add the staff member's name in the gift message to help get it to the correct person.
Ramsey County Accessibility Survey
Ramsey County Public Works is updating their Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan and they need your input. The draft plan outlines how Ramsey County Public Works will make certain pedestrian facilities (curb ramps, crosswalks, sidewalks, and stairs.) ADA compliant. The draft plan is available on the project web page and the public comment period runs until Jan. 19. Take the survey to share your input.
