East Celebrates Students of the Month!
Congratulations to our October Students of the Month! This award is presented to students who have shown exceptional dedication by attending class prepared with all necessary materials, actively participating through both verbal and non-verbal contributions, and working to the best of their ability, regardless of grades. Additionally, they exemplify positive interactions with teachers, staff, and peers, treating everyone with dignity and respect. Well done to these outstanding students for their commitment and positive impact!
East Counselors Earn Highest Honors!
Congratulations to our amazing counselors, Yusra Hamadeh and Molly Long, for winning the prestigious Mary Beth Carroll Extra Miler Award—the highest honor an employee of P-CCS can earn! This award celebrates individuals who bring positivity, communicate effectively, represent the District with pride, are self-motivated and helpful, consistently give their best, and strive to support students wholeheartedly. Yusra and Molly's dedication and hard work make a lasting difference in our community. Well-deserved!
Important Update From The School Nurse
Our school nurse has asked us to inform you that there has been an increase in pertussis (whooping cough) cases in our community. Pertussis is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can be especially dangerous for infants, young children, and individuals with weakened immune systems.
We strongly encourage all families to ensure that their children are up to date on their immunizations, including the DTaP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis) vaccine. If you or your child develop symptoms such as severe coughing fits, difficulty breathing, or a "whooping" sound during coughing, please seek medical attention promptly and stay home to prevent the spread of the illness.

Dress For The Weather
As the weather gets colder, we encourage students to dress warmly and appropriately. Please ensure your child comes to school with coats, hats, and gloves, as we go outside every day for recess. We want all students to stay comfortable and enjoy their time outdoors safely. Thank you for your help in keeping everyone warm!
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is OVERFLOWING with coats, jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc. Please encourage your student to take a look through the items if they are missing something. The lost and found is located in the cafeteria against the right wall as soon as you enter the main doors from the red hall. Any items still in the Lost and Found after November 22 will be thrown out or donated to charity.
Fragrance Allergies
We are happy that our young students are taking care of their personal hygiene needs, but we need to keep perfume and cologne bottles at home. Some people have fragrance allergies, and we cannot have students spray perfume/cologne in the bathrooms, their lockers, the hallways, or the classrooms. This is best done at home. Thank you for understanding.
