Headteachers Message
Dear Families
I hope this message finds you all well. We've had another busy week at Teddington; below are some highlights:
Firstly, a big thank you to our dedicated PTA for organising and running a successful uniform sale ahead of their termly meeting on Monday. The PTA are also currently working on finalised plans for two new bike sheds for our Sixth Form and main school students, we will share the designs and install at a later date.
A special mention to Mr Cao for taking the Year 10 GCSE Art and Textiles students to the Victoria and Albert Museum. The visit provided students with an opportunity to gather primary sources and practise their observational drawings. Thank you to Miss Jarman for leading a fantastic Year 10 Geography field trip. The hands-on experience is invaluable in bringing theoretical knowledge to life, and it was evident that the students greatly benefited from this practical learning opportunity.
Our Year 9 students have had an exciting week, diving into GCSE launch days in Music, Art, and Textiles. The enthusiasm and creativity displayed was great to see. Well done to all students involved.
We were delighted to see such a strong turnout at the Year 10 Parents Evening. Thank you to all families who attended and contributed to the meaningful discussions about student progress.
A heartfelt thank you to the Teddington Leadership Team for their incredible work during Green Week. Their efforts in promoting sustainability and environmental awareness included various activities that engaged the whole school. We are proud to announce that they will be featured in a trust-wide promotional video, showcasing our commitment to green initiatives.
A gentle reminder to all parents to please complete the parent survey. Your feedback and views are important to us and help us understand how we can improve and ensure our students remain happy in school. Currently, only around 40% of parents have responded. Please make your opinions heard, they are valued and listened to by myself and the rest of the staff.
Finally, a reminder that students are expected to come into school in full Teddington PE kit on the days they have Dance or PE whilst our works are underway renovating the changing rooms. Only Teddington PE kit items should be worn, including Teddington shorts or skort, and our white Teddington PE polo shirt. This is in line with our school uniform policy which can be found here.
Once again, thank you to everyone for your continued support. Have a lovely weekend when it arrives.
Kind regards
Mr P Grills

Weekly Head of Year Message
Dear Families
Firstly, our Year 10 students have been diligently reflecting on their recent mock exam results. With a strong emphasis on growth mindset, they have been identifying areas for improvement and setting actionable goals to enhance their academic performance. This reflective process has been instrumental in helping them develop resilience and a positive attitude toward their studies.
We also recently hosted a successful Parents' Evening. It was a wonderful opportunity for families, students, and teachers to come together and discuss progress and set targets as we move towards Year 11. The collaborative spirit and commitment to student success were truly inspiring.
In addition to their academic efforts, our students are actively exploring future pathways. During tutor time, they have participated in educational workshops designed to broaden their understanding of post-16 options. We have also organised several external visits to various colleges, providing them with firsthand experience of potential future educational environments.
Looking ahead, we are excited about the upcoming Careers Fair. This event will offer our students a fantastic opportunity to explore various career options and gather valuable information to help shape their future aspirations.
Thank you for your continued support. Our Year 10’s have had such a successful year and we are all very proud of the hard work, growth and dedication they have shown.
Kind regards
Mr J Rolfe
