Mr.Castillo
Director

Good afternoon James John Families,
Thank you to all of you who joined us this morning for International Walk and Roll to School Day. It was wonderful to see all the smiling faces at the community center. Getting to ride my bicycle with students set such a great tenor for the day. A big thank you to all the parents that help get our bike bus organized, you all really help us live our core value of Community. We appreciate you and the students appreciate you.
As I look out my office window, I can tell it is going to be a brisk bike ride home. As the weather becomes colder and the rainy days start to become more frequent, please remember to send your little ones with a jacket or raincoat. We tend to go outside rain, snow or shine, as we provide two recess opportunities for students to get the wiggles out, unless as a student expressed to me “it’s really raining cats and dogs Mr. Castillo”.
Next week, on Wednesday, we will be having an early release day. School will be done by 11:50am, please plan accordingly. I also want to share with the Lion community that our 1st grade team will be expanding to three teachers. Our PTA advocacy and the advocacy of our Senior Director has provided headway in the hiring of another 1st grade teacher. Thank you all.
That’s all for now.
With Much Appreciation,
Mr. Castillo
Principal
