SPC Dual Credit Fire Academy
Check out the flyer for an opportunity to join the SPC Dual Credit Fire Academy! This academy is taken senior year as a double-block course & prepares students for firefighting after graduation. Students must have their own transportation to get to and from the academy each day. Class meets each day, requiring a student to have 4 classes open in their schedule. Interested incoming seniors should see their counselor for a schedule change request.

We are thrilled to announce that the Lubbock-Cooper ISD Technology Department is now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year! We are looking for High School Students that are willing to work over the summer and during next school year.
**The Student Tech Application is now open!**

**Application and Interview Process:**
- We will contact applicants with the information they provide in the application to schedule an interview and a video will be also submitted. We do look at discipline, grades, and references.
- If selected, a schedule change to the Tech Work Program will be needed.
**Student Tech Work Program Details:**
- **Work Schedule:** Students must be able to work at least one, preferably two, class periods during the school year. Once selections are made, we will work with their counselor to get Tech Work on their schedule.
- **Transportation:** Reliable transportation is encouraged but not required. Student Techs are expected to work at all campus and district locations as needed.
- **Device Requirements:** A reliable smartphone or iPad to receive school/work-related emails, texts, & chats, and to access the time clock system is required.
- **Preferred Qualifications:** A valid driver’s license with a reliable and insured vehicle is preferred.
**Program Benefits:**
- **Credits Earned:**
- First Year: Computer Maintenance credit
- Second Year: Computer Technician credit
- Third Year: Telecommunications & Networking credit (for exceptional candidates)
- **Skills Developed:**
- Work independently and sometimes with a team
- Commitment to a full year of high-quality performance
- Assist with routine maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of IT and A/V equipment
- Support Level 1 Technicians with Level 1 IT support and troubleshooting
**Ideal Candidates:**
Lubbock-Cooper Student Techs need to be trustworthy and reliable problem-solvers who can respond to IT issues in a solutions-oriented and friendly manner. They don’t have to know all the resolutions to IT issues, but they need to be willing and able to find the answers.
We are excited about the potential of this program and look forward to working with students who are passionate about technology.

Lunch Policies
Students must
- Attend their assigned lunch and remain in the cafeteria commons for the full duration of their lunch period.
- Scan their own badge to purchase lunch; the use of another student's badge or lunch number to purchase a lunch is forbidden.
- Sit anywhere in the cafeteria commons or outside at the patio tables if weather permits.
- Play games or listen to music on their cell phones, but students are not allowed to access any social media platform during this time.
- Have a family member drop off a lunch for them in the front office.
- Use the restrooms and water fountains located at the entry to the 400 hallway.
- Have Doordash, Uber Eats, or any other food delivery service bring them food outside of a family member.
