Instructional Resources and Support
-As always, please ensure your white board configuration (agenda, learning objective, language goal, etc) is posted and visible for everyone throughout the period, including the WASC Instructional Strategy that will be utilized for the lesson. The posted learning objective should outline how students will demonstrate their understanding of the learning objective. The posted language objective should aim to clarify the linguistic skills students will need to successfully meet the content objectives. Specify the academic vocabulary, types of explanations required (oral or written), and the linguistic structures or phrases students should use.
-With Tutor.com's Dropoff Essay Review tool, students can submit their work and receive custom feedback in five rubric-based categories and in-line feedback on their written work. Each tutor spends between 30-35 minutes per student paper, and this feedback is visible to teachers via the Teacher Dashboard. This can be used as a way to support rough draft essay review.
-Observation Feedback is logged in the MyPGS system. Please note, you are to reply to feedback via the platform within 2 weeks of the observation. Your observation will be finalized once the response is received. In some cases, your department administrator will schedule an observation debrief to discuss the lesson observed.

Be an Attendance H.E.R.O.
Here, Everyday, Ready, On-Time!
Parental involvement plays a crucial role in ensuring consistent school attendance. When parents are engaged in their child’s education, students are more likely to attend school regularly, perform better academically, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Here’s why parental involvement matters:
- Establishing the value of education
- Monitoring and encouraging
- Early intervention for attendance issues
- Creating a supportive home environment
- Strengthening school-parent communication
- Role modeling consistency
Please avoid taking additional days off before and after Spring Break (4/14/2025 to 4/18/2025) to ensure that your student does not miss out on academic enrichment activities.
Attendance makes all the difference... send your student to school every day
Let’s make every day count!
