Spelling Bee
On February 13, 2025, Sonora Whedbee, a 4th grader, and Vada King, an 8th grader, proudly represented our school at the La Paz County Spelling Bee held in Parker, AZ. Both students displayed remarkable effort and talent throughout the event, with Sonora achieving 2nd place in the competition. Congratulations to Sonora and Vada for their hard work and impressive performances!
45th Annual Take A Kid Fishing
Our students took part in the Take A Kid To Fishing at La Paz County Park. They had the chance to go fishing. Furthermore, a few of our students were lucky enough to receive prizes from the raffle draw.
Assembly with Officer Varela
Officer Varela came to our school to speak with students about bullying. He talked about the various forms of bullying, including physical, verbal, and cyberbullying. He shared valuable insights on how to recognize and address bullying in our community. He also shared real-life examples to emphasize the impact of bullying on students' mental health and well-being. Officer Varela encouraged students to speak up and seek help if they witness bullying or experience it themselves.
Dr. Seuss Day
Our school celebrates Dr. Seuss Day. Students in kindergarten through 4th grade watched a Dr. Seuss movie. They had popcorn, cupcakes, hot dogs, and juice, sponsored by the Student Council. Additionally, our superintendent, Ms. Walton, took the time to read one of Dr. Seuss's books aloud to the students.
