October is Principals Month

Shout out to Ms. Lindauer!

CCPS celebrates Principal's Month in October. Ms. Lindauer is the best! She works above and beyond for the staff and students every day. She comes in early and stays late. She will do anything that needs to be done and loves to help others. She builds a relationship with each student and truly cares for each one. She's modest and doesn't want any fanfare but we want her to know how valued she is. Recently, she attended the Night at the Museum for Friends with Disabilities event at the Calvert Marine Museum (CMM). Here are some excerpts of a letter from Kathleen Porecki, Office Specialist at CMM: "It takes a village and big, open hearts to create connections, inspiration, and beautiful moments in this world. We’ve got all of that!" "Thank you to our newest volunteer for this event, Calvert Country School Principal Rachael Lindauer, who greeted visitors and saw familiar faces, and who also counted our guests as they arrived. She plans to volunteer and be involved in 2025."

This is just a sample of many ways that Ms. Lindauer is involved with our students and our community.

Annual Student Update and Impact Aid Survey

THANK YOU to parents who have submitted!

We are at a 66% completion rate for the annual student update (ASU) and we have only received TWO completed Impact Aid Surveys. Please reach out to Mrs. Michael if you need help accessing the Home Access Center to get these forms completed. It's not too late!

Three Brothers Tomorrow! πŸ•

Come by Three Brothers this Wednesday between 4-7pm. Eat-in or carry-out. No online orders please. A portion of food sales will be given to CCS. Three Brothers is a wonderful partner with CCS. Let's show them some love while supporting CCS πŸ’—

Building Services

CCS has three building services employees, Mr. Rice, Ms. Jackson and Mr. Ford. They are far more than individuals who care for our building, they are friends and colleagues that show up and work hard every day. They have positive attitudes, big happy smiles, and keep the staff laughing with their pranks and dance moves. October 2nd was Building Service Workers Appreciation Day. We are SO thankful for them!

End Hunger Food Drive

The call went out and YOU answered!

Our End Hunger donation box is almost full! This is fantastic! One staff member said she has never seen the donations reach the top of the box. With a few weeks left in the month, let's OVERFILL the box. We can do it! Thank you!

Red Ribbon Week

RED RIBBON WEEK, which is celebrated annually October 23-31, is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention awareness program. CCS plans to participate! We will let you know of the fun activities planned. Let's all be drug free!
