• For safety, we are requesting that parent drop off their student(s) at the first entrance gate.
• The front gate will close promptly at 8:00am. Students will be marked late if they arrive after this time.
  

• After School SHINE - Parents, please check-in with SHINE Coordinators at door located next to the library in the staff parking lot. You will sign-out your students from the coordinator, not the front office. Thank you.

• Students in TK/Kinder through 3rd grade must be picked up every day by an adult or walked home by an older 4th/5th sibling.

• Only children in 4th or 5th grade may walk home alone or with younger siblings. Please be sure to fill out a "4th/5th Sibling Permission Slip" from the office if you are allowing your 4th/5th grade student to pick-up a younger sibling.

• Late Pick-up - Students who are picked up late in Grades TK-3rd must to be signed out of the office by someone on the Emergency Card and over the age of 18.

• Breakfast and lunch are provided free for all students every day.

• Pets - We do not allow pets on campus, this includes the front of the school. This is for the safety of students.

There will be no school for students on Monday, October 14th due to a District Wide Staff Development Day. School will resume on Tuesday, October 14th.

Join us as we celebrate Red Ribbon Week, honoring the sacrifice of DEA Agent Kiki Camarena and making a pledge to be drug free!

Join in the fun and school spirit on dress-up days.

Students will be allowed to wear Halloween costumes on Halloween. This is voluntary.

Parents/Guardians are also invited to view our Halloween Parades on Thursday, October 31st.

There will be 2 scheduled parades.

• TK/Kinder parade starts at 8:30am
• 1st-5th Parade starts at 2:00pm

If your child will participate in the Halloween festivities and wears a costume, please be sure to follow the Halloween Costume Guidelines listed below. These guidelines were also sent home.

1. SCHOOL RULES REGARDING DRESS CODE MUST BE FOLLOWED.
2. All costume preparations are to be completed at home. (i.e. no dressing up once students arrive at school).
3. No masks or make-up.
4. No scary/gory costumes.
5. No costumes that depict violence or violent characters or that are derogatory or disrespectful to others.
6. No Clown Costumes!
7. Teachers may take away any accessory that is used improperly or is considered inappropriate for school.

Wearing a Halloween costumes is meant to be fun and it is a privilege. Please treat it as such and follow the guidelines. Be Respectful and Be Responsible.

Please be sure that your child is attending school with their device daily. Devices are used as instructional tools throughout the day and it is essential that they are charged.

Hueneme ESD uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number.
