Maori Whakatauki & MPS Value: Respect & Empathy
Kia ora koutou Parents and Macleans Primary Whānau
Welcome to our first Macleans PrimaryNewsletter for Term 4. How wonderful it is to see spring in full bloom :)) The warm weather has brought plenty of opportunities for engaging learning outdoors, with happy faces all around as students play and prepare for a busy and exciting Term 4.
Over the past week I have sent out three Macleans Primary Notices that featured, key dates, hat reminders and information about the PTA Colour Run that is being held on Sunday 3 November from 1 to 4pm. All of that information is in this newsletter as well, so please take a moment to review that information if you haven’t. PLEASE get behind the colour run and get onto raiseit and consider making a minimum donation to support the Macleans Primary School PTA as we are all getting excited about the PTA Colour Run. So please get 'raising' through raiseit: https://macleanscolourfunrun.raiseit.co.nz/
Term 4 is time for hats. Please ensure your child is wearing a hat from Tuesday 29 October (day after Labour Day). Footwear consists of black sandals or black shoes and the correct colour socks with shoes only (no socks and sandals), all of the uniform information can be found on the Macleans Primary School Website HERE
We are also looking forward to the Macleans Primary School 50th Birthday Celebrations this Friday. We have a number of 'old' boys and 'girls' joining us, including my predecessor Mr Brian Bayly and the principal before Brian!
I have just returned from the Kapa Haka Festival at Bucklands Beach Intermediate. Wow! What a great Kapa Haka we have at Macleans Primary! I am super proud and impressed. Photos and a report in the next newsletter.
Have a great week everyone and enjoy the newsletter!
