Beneke Blast
January 24, 2025-January 31, 2025
Dear Parents,
We are thankful our Bears are back on campus after our amazing Snow Days!
I loved seeing all the pictures shared on Facebook!
Beneke has held the highest attendance in the district for past two years. We continue to have the highest attendance, but our attendance is lower this year than it was last year. Please be aware that attendance is directly related to academic success! Please make sure you are sending your child to school everyday unless they are truly sick.
Please be aware that we had a doorbell installed at the front entrance. The front door remains locked until you ring the doorbell and present your ID. This is a new safety measure provided by Spring ISD. If you arrive late, the parent must exit the vehicle, ring the doorbell, present their ID, and the door will be unlocked.
Attendance Matters!
Way to Go 2nd and 3rd for the highest attendance on campus last week!
You may come out of dress code on Monday, January 27, 2025!
Thank you for making sure you child is at school everyday!
Attendance is directly linked to academic success!
If you need any assistance with helping your child attend school please reach out to me!
Facebook-Beneke has a new facebook! Please join us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/BenekeElementary
Thank you,
Principal Smith
Honor Your Teachers at Beneke
Honored Schools Program
Beneke is participating in the 2024-2025 Honored Schools Program!
What it is: Through the Honored Schools online platform, students (and parents on behalf of younger students) within each participating school community are encouraged to recognize teachers by telling a story of how the teacher made a difference in their life. Every teacher who is recognized will receive their student’s story and will be publicly recognized at their school and on the Honored Schools website. Also, each recognition story serves as a nomination for the annual Honored Schools Life-Changing Teacher Award.
How it works: Visit https://honoredschools.org/about-us/ and complete the nomination form. All forms will be reviewed prior to publishing. Each time a form is submitted, that teacher will receive an email notifying them of the submission so they can read it, it will be posted on the website, AND the teacher is entered to win one of the awards:
The Awards: At the end of each school year, two or more recognized teachers in each region will be awarded the Honored Schools Life-Changing Teacher Award and will receive a $2,000 DonorsChoose classroom resources and a $500 Visa Gift Card cash award and will be featured, along with the nominating student, on the HonoredSchools.org website.
