We are asking parents/guardians to remind their students of the Board of Education dress code policy, which aims to maintain a safe and stable learning environment while allowing students to respectfully express their individuality.

It is applicable to the school environment, as well as all school sponsored activities.

Restrictions on freedom of student dress may be applied whenever the mode of dress in question:

1. Is unsafe either for the student or those around the student.
2. Is disruptive to school operations and the education process in general.
3. Depicts or advocates violence, criminal activity, use of alcohol or drugs, pornography or hate speech.
4. Contains or can be construed to be racist, misogynistic, lewd, vulgar, obscene, defamatory, or threatening.
5. If breasts, genitalia and buttocks are not covered by opaque materials.

On Tuesday 10/1 and Wednesday 10/2 students will have the opportunity to meet representatives of our many clubs and organizations at the Club Fair! The fair will take place during lunch on Tuesday, and during REBEL Block on Wednesday! Thank you to DECA for organizing this year's fair!

Thanks to the over 100 volunteers who packed 20,000 meals as part of the Rise Against Hunger fall meal packing event, organized by seniors Emilia Sedlak and Sara Braun, supported by Mr. Pierce! Fellow students, teachers, coaches, neighbors and friends all pitched in for this great event!

An important part of the partnership between parents/guardians and NFHS is the PTO!

The PTO sponsors scholarships, student assistance efforts, sponsors creative projects by our teachers, and helps keep our staff well-supported (and well-fed!) throughout the year.

Imagine what we could do if EVERY NFHS family joined the PTO! Annual membership is only $20 per family.

Students are invited to get moving in the Wellness Center after school!

If your NFHS student missed school pictures, the Make-up date is October 7th.

Students should go to the theater during their study hall period to have their picture taken.

On October 1st during lunch and October 2nd during REBEL Block, we will be having a club fair for NFHS students, sponsored by DECA. Students will be able to meet club officers from our many co-curricular offerings and learn about new ways to get involved at NFHS!

On October 3rd schools are closed in observance of Rosh Hashannah.

Friday, October 4th is a Professional Learning Day for teachers.

Our 10th and 11th grade students will sit for the PSATs on October 24th. There will be a special schedule for all students. More info to come!

You will be able to schedule appointments on Zoom to speak with your child's teachers on October 24 and/or 25th. Afternoon/evening conferences will be on Thursday 10/24, and morning conferences will be on Friday 10/25. More information to come!
