Mrs. Geurin’s Classes

Science

Fifth grade will continue with STEMscopes as we move into October. They will complete their scope on Food Webs before moving into Matter Cycles and Ecosystems. They will then move into the topic of Observing the Sky. Their first scope will be Earth's Rotation.

Mrs. Bradley’s Class

Language Arts

Students will work to answer the essential question: How can Learning about natural disasters make us safer? They will be exposed to multiple genres and work to locate the central idea and supporting details. They will make and confirm predictions, work with text structure, figurative language, and content area vocabulary. They will also write their own persuasive essay.

Mrs.Elkin’s Class

Math- 5th grade will continue with division. Students will learn how to write numerical expressions and continue with volume.

Social Studies- Students will apply all the inquiry skills they have learned. Students will also examine and compare the needs and wants of indigenous tribes in North America.
