SAMR
SAMR is a model designed to help educators infuse technology into teaching and learning. Popularized by Dr. Ruben Puentedura, the model supports and enables teachers to design, develop, and infuse digital learning experiences that utilize technology. The goal is to transform learning experiences so they result in higher levels of achievement for students. As more technology becomes integrated into the classrooms it's important to keep the technology purposeful. The best way to do this is to stay focused on the intent of the use of technology. The SAMR model helps to focus on the technology and the purpose of the assignment.
The coffee analogy is my favorite way to describe what SAMR means. I've included some additional images of using the SAMR model along with the Depth of Knowledge (DOK) questioning. The images are a good summary and the links provide additional information describing the images in detail. If you have any questions about this, please let me know, as I'm happy to discuss it with you.
