Elementary School

• If you are planning to send in class treats for Halloween the items must be non-food items. You may send in pencils, erasers, stickers, etc. but no candy or food will be distributed to students.
• Just a reminder to please send in a note with your student or email your child's Homeroom teacher with any changes to your child's dismissal.
• Dismissal is 2:45 PM (A Schedule Days) 12:45 PM (B Schedule Days) for Kindergarten & 3 PM (A Schedule Days) 1 PM (B Schedule Days) for 1st-8th graders.
• Clubs dismiss at 3:45 PM and after 3 late pick ups your child will be removed from the club.
• Student arrival begins at 7 AM. Please refrain from dropping students off prior to 7 AM.

October is full of Fall Fun and Learning at CAP! Literacy Night will give our students an opportunity to dive into reading and our Trunk or Treat will be a fun time for our families to dress up while spending quality time with their friends and CAP Family. Music Kids instrument lessons are beginning in October and our CAP Bruins are having a fun time with their friends during extracurriculars. From Chess Wizards to Musical Theater there are clubs to meet the interest of all of our students. Some upcoming week long celebrations in October are: College and Career Week will occur from 9/30/24-10/4/24, Spirit Week will occur from 10/15/24-10/18/24, Bullying Prevention Week will occur from 10/21/24-10/25/24, and Red Ribbon Week will occur form 10/28/24-11/1/24. We are excited for our Bruins to fall in love with learning this October!

The Special Education Department will host a presentation for parents on Understanding State Tests and the Role Attendance Plays in Student Success. This presentation will be held during Report Card Conferences on November 14th-15th. More details coming soon!

Is your student struggling with the loss of a loved one or dealing with other grief related challenges? CAP offers K-12 school based youth grief counseling throughout the school year to offer support and understanding in a safe, confidential environment. All grief counseling groups are provided by trained Counselors from Peter’s Place and Uplift. These groups are specifically designed to help students navigate their emotions, find healthy coping strategies, and connect with others who share similar experiences.
