Ross Round Up
Engage. Empower. Educate. Every Day.
January 19, 2023
Hi Ross Families.
We've had quite the adventure the last few days with all the snow. Today, we packed what felt like 4 school days into 1--students playing in the snow out at recess, Friendship Bracelet Lunch Club open to all, and the Boise Philharmonic playing "Peter and the Wolf." We also gave away our January prizes for I-Ready Punch Cards. Congrats to all the students who won gift cards to local restaurants and CAST World's Finest Chocolate.
We have some fun events coming soon.
- Penny Wars, an adventurous PTA fundraiser, starts in two weeks! More details coming soon...but start saving your coins now to win great prizes as a class and sabotage other classes.
- Lunch Clubs are Dance Club (Tuesday) and Art and Crochet Club (Friday).
- School Store Lunch Club and after-school Dungeons and Dragons Lunch Club on Friday.
- On Jan. 30, our whole school will walk to Indian Creek Elementary to read to the Kinder and 1st grade classes. Each Ross student will be paired with a Kinder or 1st grade buddy. We'll also color a President's Day coloring page together. The CAST Service team planned this activity.
Education is about growing in Math and Reading. It is also about experiences together that bring joy and friendship to students. We enjoy partnering with you in making all kinds of learning happen.
Love,
Principal Tripp

After School Pick Up Notes
Our goal for pick up is to get kids safely off campus and to families at the end of the day. Thanks for helping us keep kids safe!
Here's the timeline for end of day:
- 3:30 pm: The pick up bell rings for students being picked up in the car line. We release those students 5 minutes earlier than the walkers or pick ups on the road for safety reasons--we want to have most of the cars through the line before walkers are trying to navigate cars as they walk near the road.
- 3:35 pm: The walker and bus line bell rings for those who are walking to their cars not in the pick up line and those who are riding the bus.
Please call the office to let us know if your student is going home a different way than usual by 2:00 pm. We will deliver a note to them before the end of the day to let them and the teacher know.
