Welcome Back, Bobcats! Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful winter break and are ready to come back for the 2nd half of school. The next few months will be very busy with activities and programs. Be sure to keep reading the weekly Bobcat Beat for important updates. I'm looking forward to seeing all your faces on Monday.

Are you at Chapman Hills on Open Enrollment? If so, you will need to fill out the Open Enrollment form on our District website starting Monday. If you know someone in your neighborhood is new to OUSD or an incoming TK or NEW Kindergartner, New Student Enrollment starts on Wednesday. Please share this information for any new families you know.

Key Dates to Remember:

• January 13 - January 27, 2025: Open Enrollment window for the 2025-2026 school year.
• January 15, 2025: New Student Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year begins.

For our 6th Grade Families - If you plan on attending Santiago Middle School, they are holding several information sessions (both in person and virtual) over the next few weeks. The link below has more information.

At Chapman Hills, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Recently, we have noticed an increase in the use of inappropriate language and behaviors on school grounds, which can negatively impact our school community.

We kindly ask for your partnership in addressing this important matter. Please take some time to discuss with your child what is considered appropriate and respectful language for school. Encourage them to think about the impact their words can have on others.

To ensure our school remains a welcoming place for everyone, students who use inappropriate language will face appropriate consequences. Our goal is not to punish but to guide our students in making better choices and understanding the importance of kindness and respect in their interactions.

When we return to school in January, the students will have a refresher assembly on the use of appropriate school language and behaviors.

Thank you for your support in reinforcing these values at home and helping us maintain a positive learning environment.
