DCSC Construction Update

September has come and (almost) gone, which means it's time for another monthly construction update! We have seen a lot of progress in both South Elementary and Danville Community High School over the last month, and we are so excited to say that everything is currently moving on track. We are so excited to see the improvements to come!

South is continuing to make progress on the building updates, with renovations underway in several key areas, including the new art room, cafeteria, kitchen, and classrooms.

• The new art room, located in the former front office, will offer a larger space for students to create, along with much-needed storage for the teacher.

• Additionally, older classrooms are being updated to match the new wing, providing a fresh look and incorporating the latest technology. The carpeting, paint, and other important features will now match the newer rooms.

• The kitchen is being completely renovated, with new equipment on the way, while the cafeteria is expanding to accommodate more students. This includes taking out the stage!

In just the past month, DCHS has made huge strides. In our classroom addition, walls have gone up, bringing the vision of the new space to life. Over on the southeast side, the new pool is taking shape, with additional footers poured and the outline of the future walls now visible. Meanwhile, the athletic office is progressing quickly and is nearing completion!

We are making progress on several phases of our project plan! Here is a brief overview of what is to come within the next year. Please note that all estimated completion dates are subject to change as construction continues.
