Something to Yelle About
The Weekly Newsletter for the Henri A. Yelle Elementary
AWESOMENESS THIS WEEK IN #HAYNation!
Yelle Newsletter for September 20th!
Hello from the Yelle.
It was another incredible week here in #HAYNation! This week we celebrated #StartWithHelloWeek by Sandy Hook Promise organization. It was a week to spread #Kindness and #Inclusivity and I feel as though we did a great job with it, as you will see multiple instances in the Big Picture above.
In the big picture above, each week, I use it as a way to highlight and show what we were able to accomplish during the week.
This week was a special one with #StartWithHelloWeek, where many of the pictures demonstrate our students doing kind things like putting positive sticky notes around the building, showed their Norton Pride by wearing purple and white, and even were super considerate and gracious when congratulating each other on a #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay with a sensational high five. The kids were awesome this week. Another picture shows Mr. Bielawa and Sgt. Dennett, our SRO, getting into 4th Grade classes discussing schoolwide expected behaviors and how to make great choices. Another picture is of a couple of students standing with our Attendance sign; these students said and I quote, "We want to be present." Another picture has two students, up at the board, working together to solve a problem. And finally, there is a picture of Dr. O'Neill, our NPS Superintendent, who did a day of residency here in #HAYNation this week, and she could not say more positive things about everyone here at the Yelle. Yes! #WayToGo!
These and the other pictures below that I have snapped throughout the week in and around the classrooms really do relay a story of the incredible relational accomplishments our students and teachers achieved this week. Please check them out below and all over our Instagram feed to help to tell the tremendous story we are writing this year.

Hello Yelle Families:
The HAY Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) hopes all families had a great Summer vacation. We are looking forward to another senational school year!
The PTO sponsors monthly meetings, which are usually held the third Thursday of each month from 6-7PM in the HAY Library. The meetings could be changed if there is a calendar conflict with a school vacation or holiday and are usually moved to the Wednesday before or after. You can view on the HAY Calendar on the NPS website.
We look forward to seeing returning parents along with new faces from our fourth grade families!
Come join the meetings to hear what’s happening in your child’s school, how you can help out by volunteering, or ways for you to share an idea!
