Message from Headteacher
Message from Mr O'Shannessy
Dear Parents, Carers, Children, and Staff,
What an amazing week we have had! We started our week with an assembly in which the children discussed the differences between Hope, Belief and Faith.
We decided by the end of the assembly that:
Hope was something we want to come true.
Belief was something when we were sure it was true.
Finally, Faith was something we need to put our trust into, as it was unexplainable but we believed regardless.
We also recognised that for any of Hope, Belief or Faith to grow, we have to actively take part and practice.
On Wednesday the Year 4 class did a wonderful job of leading the school in a prayer service to launch the Church Jubilee Year of Hope.
Pope Francis has asked us to not only have hope but also, through our actions, give hope to others.
Finally, Mrs Booker the school Chair of Governors met with our Chaplaincy group and four new members attended the meeting. (Two each from Year 3 and Year 4) The new members will receive their Chaplaincy ties in next week’s Friday celebration assembly.
As a school community, we are going through a very challenging time. I ask that we support each other and continue to have hope in all that we do.

Message from the Chaplains
Jubilee Year
Our Chaplains met on Tuesday to plan events for this special year of Hope.
We welcomed four new Chaplains: Alex and Alannah (Year 3) and Archie and Laura (Year 4). Our new Chaplains will receive their special tie in Assembly next Friday. I know that the year 6 Chaplains will guide and support them.
More news next week about planned events.
Frances Booker.
