CONNECTION POINT NEWSLETTER
November 1, 2024
Greetings from Pastor John
We have three messages left in our “Right Side up Life” series on the Sermon on the Mount. This week we will look at Matthew 7:15-23. As we wind down the Sermon on the Mount we will hear Jesus begin to warn us of a number of things. This week it will be a warning against wolves in sheep’s clothing. We are also given some idea of what to do, in this case Jesus tells us to look for fruit. Look for what their lives are producing. That is how we understand true and false teaching.
Be in prayer for this Sunday that God would continue to meet people where they are at and take them to where He is. We are seeing God move in some encouraging ways these days and it is a great time to be a part of the church. I’m grateful for you all and what you mean to Christ and His church!
See you Sunday
John

Leaders Wanted to Trick Jesus: Matthew 22
•Why did the religious leaders ask Jesus questions?
•How did Jesus’ answers show that He is the Messiah, the Son of God?
Because we know Jesus as our Savior, we put away hypocritical and hollow worship and exalt Him for who He truly is—the Son of God who came to take away the sins of the world.
• HEAD: From your understanding of Scripture, who do you say Jesus is?
• HEART: What will you do to show Jesus's adoration?
• HANDS: What are some ways you can share the good news of salvation with those around you?
Voices from Church History
even when cast down by diver's sorrows
and temptations, at the remembrance
that Christ is exalted, for in that he finds
enough to cheer his own heart.”
–Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834–1892)
