Lottery Applications 2025-2026
Lottery Applications for the 2025-2026 School Year are now available!
If you have a child or sibling that will turn five years old by August 31, 2025, go online at https://learningfirstcharter.org/admission/.
The application deadline is March 3, 2025.
All applications require:
- birth certificate
- two proofs of address.
Reminder, a new application must be completed for any child that is on the current waitlist.
Paper applications are also available in the main office in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Arabic, Vietnamese and Albanian.

Caregiver pick up reminders:
Students are escorted to OLOC
Caregivers should wait in the pick up line going through the parking lot of the church
Caregivers should not be standing on the sidewalks pr corners of streets waiting for students
No students will be dismissed until they have arrived at their waiting spots at the church lot.
This is to ensure the safety of our students and staff members. It also allows for dismissal to run quickly.
2nd annual Turkey Trot:
We will be hosting our 2nd annual Turkey Trot on 11/26/25. The Turkey Trot is 1 mile at Crompton Park. This year we would like to invite families to join us running in the Turkey Trot! If you would like more information or would like to run in the race please contact:

Holiday Food Donations:
The PTO is collecting various non-perishables and canned items for our families in our community who need our support. We will be accepting donations from November 1st - November 21st. Donations can be dropped off to the Reflection Room. Each item collected will help create a holiday dinner basket for our families.
Every grade level has been assigned an item of donation. We would love your help!
Grade level donations are as follows:
Kindergarten - Cranberry Sauce
1st Grade- Canned Corn
2nd Grade- Canned Green Peas
3rd Grade- Cornbread mix
4th Grade- Canned or packet of Gravy
5th Grade - Box of Dessert
6th Grade- Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
7th Grade- Box of Mashed Potatoes
8th Grade- Box of Stuffing

Holiday Gifts:
If any families need some assistance in providing gifts for your children for the holidays please reach out to Lisa Moore at lmoore@learningfirstcharter.org.
A Giving Tree will be placed in our staff room with tags that include a child's wish. Gifts will be packaged for families the week before we go on winter break and you will be able to pick up a black bag at the school. Your requests will be confidential and will be taken until 12/10/24.
In your request, please include:
- The age (s) of the child (ren)
- 2-3 gift suggestions for each child.
- Sizes and any specific things they are into.
- The items should be around the $25-$30 price range.
- Please only send requests for children under the age of 15 and it is ok to include siblings if they do not attend LFCPS.
Parent ELPAC Volunteer
Parent ELPAC Volunteer
We are looking for parents, families and guardians of our ELL (English language learner) students who are interested in joining our school’s ELPAC. As a committee we will meet regularly throughout the year in order to give input on and receive information about our ELL program. Our ELPAC allows for active school involvement, and in bringing about positive changes to our school community.
Membership is free and all ELL families are welcome and encouraged to join. Let’s be strong advocates for our students.

Adult ESL Tutoring
LFCPS is offering adult ESL:
Are you a beginning, developing or advanced English Language Learner and interested in taking ESL classes?
Classes are free and began the third week of October.
Virtually- Mondays: 4:30 - 5:30
In person- Thursday: 4:00 - 5:00
