Course Selection for 2025-2026
We have successfully completed the first round of student course request verifications, which ended on February 7. Our counseling team is currently processing the returned course request forms in Infinite Campus, which will help shape our master schedule for the 2025–2026 school year. As we move forward, we are entering the final step in the course selection process:
Step 3: Final Course Request Verification
- Distribution Date: February 24, 2025
- Students will receive a Final Course Request Verification Form during their B2 period, listing their academic courses and top-choice electives for the upcoming school year. This is their last opportunity to request necessary changes.
- Deadline for Forms and Applications: February 28, 2025
- Students must return their Final Course Request Verification Form to Bridge West with both parent and student signatures and any inaccuracies from the First Course Request Verification.
- Additionally, all online forms and applications for programs such as work-based learning, senior reduction, and Peer Facilitator roles must be submitted by this deadline.
- Dual Enrollment contracts must be turned in by their designated contract deadline.
Key Considerations for Course Requests:
- Course Commitment: Course selections are final and binding for the entire duration of the course (year-long or semester-long).
- Schedule changes will not be granted for reasons such as dissatisfaction with the course, preferred lunch periods, changes in personal preference, or requests for specific teachers or class periods.
- Online and Dual Enrollment Courses:
- These courses must be taken off-campus—on-campus participation is not allowed.
- No additional online or Dual Enrollment courses will be added after the established deadlines for both the fall and spring semesters of the 2025–2026 academic year.
- Dual Enrollment Facilitation: The counseling office will oversee all Dual Enrollment courses.
For complete details and access to required forms, please visit the www.cambridgehs.org > Academics > Course Selection and Resources.
Juniors Taking the ACT - March 6
All Cambridge Juniors will have a free opportunity to take the ACT on March 6 at 8:30 am. What you need to know:
- Bring your charged, school-issued device with you for this assessment.
- You will also need to log in to complete your registration and non-test-day activities prior to the assessment.
- Students complete a device readiness check in B2 on March 5 to prepare for this, so you will also need to bring your device on that day.
- All other students will be asynchronous on the testing day, and you may plan to leave immediately after testing.
Since you are participating in State and District testing, you are already registered with ACT, but you MUST create a MyACT account. If you have an existing account, you should update the non-test profile information each time you test. Understanding how and why this is important is the focus of the user guide attached below. If you follow the instructions on the attached MyACT user guide, you will be able to complete this task.
Georgia Department of Education Perception Survey
This year, the GADOE requires all schools to perform mandatory, anonymous surveys of their students, teachers, staff, and families. The survey completion rate will be used to determine school climate star ratings (if we do not hit the required percentage of over 71%, we will lose a star).
While this may seem trivial, climate star ratings are how people outside our community view us and may influence families moving into our school zone. Please take a moment to complete the survey. Currently, we are at 31% complete for the Family Survey—THANK YOU to the families who have already completed it! For those of you who have not done so yet, THANK YOU (in advance) for supporting us in this work.
