Meet your awesome Battle of the Books team for this school year! These wonderful young ladies have read all 5 books required to participate and have showed an astonishing amount of knowledge on these books. Let's support our team and wish them the very best. Reader of the moment is someone who shows a love for reading, motivates themselves and others, and shows progress throughout. Our reader of the moment is Rimberlyn De'Anda. She has read about 400,000 words and loves to read. She is a constant visitor at the library and we are always happy to have her here. Rimberlyn is also on the Battle of the Books team. Rimberlyn says she loves to read because reading takes her to another world and is very entertaining. Her favorite genres are Biographies and Fiction books.

Congratulations to Mrs. B. Moreno's 3rd grade class! They have done an excellent job reading and trying their best to reach their AR goal. Keep up the great job and continue being awesome!

These students have showed their love for reading by reaching their class goal and being great readers. They have been awarded with a Book It certificate for a free Personal Pan Pizza! Parents can go into bookitprogram.com for more information. Great job to everyone and keep up the great work!

One of the many things students learned at the library is Character Traits. Students had fun working in groups and coming up with Character Traits of a Veteran. Students did a great job coming up with great descriptive adjectives for a Veteran and were eager to share them with all of us.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and one thing we sure are super grateful for are our books! Students got super creative and designed a book cover of their favorite book and character. These book covers were displayed on the library's bulletin board and everyone got to see the amazing job they did!

Our goals are to promote information literacy and have as many resources accessible to our students at school and from home. We encourage our students to become life long readers and most of all to help students develop an enjoyment and love of reading.
