There will be an interest meeting next week during Sparta Time for freshmen students interested in running for student government. Any interested student please listen for the announcement of date and location. If you can not make the meeting, please email Angela Causby for more information.
Sophomore SGA will be doing a drive to benefit Harbor House, an organization that supports domestic violence victims. Please donate any of the following items: toiletries, bottled water, diapers, and children’s toys. We will collect all next week! Boxes will be located at the front door, bus entrance, and car rider entrance.
Sophomore SGA will be hosting a Winter Semi-Formal in December! Please consider donating anything off the Amazon Wishlist or any sodas, waters, or snacks/candy. Contact Ms. Bradshaw if you have any questions.
The Navy JROTC annual inspection with Area Five Manager Mr. James Landis is on October 30th in the main gym. Guests please arrive at 8:30 am.

Senior Photos
There is still time to book your senior portrait. Remember to book your session with CADY as they are our exclusive school photography provider. We will be hosting seniors on Thursday, November 14, 2024 as the next on-campus photo day. If you haven’t booked your session, simply visit https://store.cady.com/ to book your senior session at the school. The November date is the LAST time CADY will be at SSS for Senior Portraits. If you can’t make it to school, you can book a session for the studio located at 5950 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC!
Counselors are meeting with all seniors during the month of October for your individual senior conference. Please check your school email for your appointment date and time! We can’t wait to meet with you!

NCICU DIRECT ADMISSION PROGRAM
North Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities (NCICU) is excited to announce the NCICU DIRECT ADMISSION PROGRAM for North Carolina High School seniors with a 2.8 or higher weighted GPA! Students can visit www.ncicu.org to complete a streamlined application in as little as 5 minutes with no application fee. By answering a few questions, students will hear from each of the participating colleges and universities that they have selected, with information about individual campus requirements, their conditional acceptance, and the availability of financial aid.
