Although state assessments have been canceled, TVAH students have continued to attend class and complete assignments as planned this semester. We are currently completing our End of the Year NWEA MAP assessments. These tests will allow us to analyze student and school growth for our TVAH students.

Our elementary and middle school's held pep rallies the Friday before testing began in order to encourage participation. Our full staff got involved in the fun, as you will see from one of our elementary school counselor's, Ms. Miller, video below.

TVAH students will have the opportunity to engage in K12's summer enrichment 'Brain Boost'! This program offers an engaging in-platform experience that keeps them learning and engaged over the summer.

Offerings in Brain Boost include access to K12's Stride program, Big Universe eLibrary, Roadtrip National videos, and of course, all with a focus on refreshing students' Math and ELA skills.

K12 will be having a K12 Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville Virtual Meet & Greet on Thursday, May 14th at 1pm CST. Please see the information below including how to sign up! This event is for the Texas based- Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville (TVAH). The school is completely virtual and teachers work from home. To learn more, click here. We have been operating virtually prior to the appearance of COVID-19, which allowed us to be able to provide continued, uninterrupted education because our infrastructure was already in place. TVAH teachers enjoyed Teacher Appreciation Week last week. The principals made sure that students and administrators had the opportunity to highlight teachers and show their appreciation through the use of Padlets, videos, social media share outs, and even daily drawings.
