Well, now that we've had a month to practice, we are pretty efficient with the morning screenings. We don't need extra time to screen, so we will stop the staggered drop-off and pick-up times in Brighton, effective July 6th.

ALL full day families will start therapy at 8:30am, and ALL families will end therapy at 3:30. Remember to arrive at 3:20 for pick-up if you'd like to hear a report from your therapist on your child's day - we're happy to talk with you, but at 3:30, our therapists have other responsibilities, so please be prompt.

Burton families will continue with the standard drop off and pick up times, as they have been doing since returning.

Please feel free to use your child's backpack to send all those loose items - like a change of clothes, his lunch, and any papers that need to go back and forth. We will keep the backpacks in the cubbies, and only your child and his therapist will touch it, so we feel that it should be safe.

We will continue to request the use of brown paper bags for lunches at this time.

It's a season of change right now, and we are saying "see you later" to another great team member next week, this time in Burton. Please help us with a great send-off for Alyssa - she began working with us as an RBT, while working through her Master's program in Applied Behavior Analysis. This summer, she has helped out with oversight of cases while our BCBA, Jessica has been on maternity leave. Alyssa has found a position that will allow her to grow professionally, as she finishes up her training and completes her certification as a BCBA, and we are happy to know that she will be able to help another group of families. We are happy to apply sunscreen to the children before going outside, but in order to do so, we need parents to complete the Medication Admin Form linked below. You will need to provide the sunscreen, labeled with your child's name, and it will stay at the center all summer. Most of our children go outside for 15-30 minutes per day when it is nice outside.

Please join us for the virtual AAOM Hero Walk on July 26th. The AAOM provided a great deal of support and information for ABA providers and parents throughout the COVID-19 shutdown. They really provide tremendous support for families all year long, including free training opportunities like the virtual one we hosted on Tuesday, June 23rd.
