Happy Friday, Wildcats
We have had a wonderful week of learning and joy around Workman School. Thank you to our Garden Club for supporting our school through the beautification of our school grounds. We appreciate the time you donated to make everything look beautiful.
We had a wonderful PTO meeting last Tuesday. There were approximately 20 families represented. This is the largest turnout we have had in many years. We are excited to have so many new voices represented in our school community. Please consider joining us for our next meeting on October 10th at 7:00 PM in the Media Center.
Regarding the AC unit, central maintenance was here last week, and they were able to reset the unit and clean the coils. Unfortunately, due to the size of the building, it took a little longer for the building to cool down. By the end of the day last Friday, it was starting to feel better, and currently, the building is much cooler. We are in constant communication with central maintenance to ensure that the unit is working properly. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Please continue to email Principal Johnson and Mrs. Sturdy with your concerns. We are happy to support your family and our school community in any way we can.

Birthdays at Workman
We are excited to celebrate birthdays at Workman! Student birthdays are announced during the morning announcements on your student’s birthday or on Friday if their birthday falls on a weekend day. Birthday treats that are food are no longer allowed at Workman due to allergy concerns. Families can donate a book for the classroom or for the media center, or share a birthday pencil or other small school appropriate item (eraser, fidget). We need to be considerate of economic situations so that all students feel included. Please no goodie bags.
