Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) is focused on providing high-quality education to scholars, especially in underserved communities. Our mission is to ensure that students meet high academic and social standards, thriving as leaders at home, in their communities, and globally. The goal is to help students succeed academically while nurturing their character and leadership skills.

PLA’s vision is for scholars to master key academic skills and demonstrate strong character traits such as honesty, service to others, a superior work ethic, and a strong belief in their futures .

We had the honor of recognizing our amazing scholars who dedicated their time and effort to our ACAP Extended Day Learning Program. For the past six weeks, these students have stayed after school, putting in the extra work to strengthen their skills and prepare for success on the ACAP assessment. Their commitment, perseverance, and determination truly embody the spirit of EXCELLENCE!

Dear Davis Elementary Families,

As we approach the ACAP assessment, Davis Elementary School is in full ACAP mode! Our entire campus is heavily focused on preparing our scholars for success, and we need your support in this journey.

Our ACAP Readiness Efforts:

Teachers are providing targeted instruction, reinforcing key skills, and ensuring that small group instruction is meaningful and data-driven. They are working diligently to differentiate learning and address student needs to maximize growth.

Students are engaged in rigorous learning activities, practicing test-taking strategies, and building confidence in their abilities. We are emphasizing perseverance, critical thinking, and a growth mindset to help them perform at their best.

Administrators are supporting teachers and students by providing resources, conducting classroom observations, and ensuring that our learning environment is structured for academic excellence. We are also closely monitoring progress to make data-informed decisions that benefit our scholars.

How You Can Help:

1. Review materials that are sent home to support your scholar's learning.
   
2. Encourage daily reading, math practice, and discussion about what they are learning.
   
3. Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep and arrives at school on time, ready to learn.
   
4. Motivate your scholar with positive reinforcement and remind them that their hard work will pay off.
