Apptegy Website and Mass Communication System Refresh
Using our new Alerts system built into the Apptegy service of the new website, we were able to send out communications on April 24th using the Alerts function which syncs to PowerSchool. 127 successful Phone Calls and 114 SMS messages were distributed when our schools went RED.
Electronics Recycling
SISD is compiling old and aged equipment from switch rooms, classrooms, and offices across the district for the POW island-wide E-Recycling on earth day. Some of our older equipment might be usable by the communities we serve, but others are equipment no longer relevant to current technology, such as a specialized 20-year-old satellite receiver or battery backups long expired.
Upate:
After talking with OVK we will work to palletized our equipment for easy transportation.
Summer Technology Projects
In the June Board Report, there will be a summer technology projects timeline and description. Much of the work done in the summer dictates whether the technology implemented will succeed and adapt or fail. There are some larger projects than normal this summer with the upcoming E-Rate funding a hopeful supply of connectivity relief for some of our families.
