Thanks to the tech team at Bourne Public Schools, the PTA is thrilled to be able to use Smore for our monthly newsletters as of November, 2024! With an easy-to-use interface and built in translation tools, Smore allows our news to be more easily created, distributed, and read by all families. Huge thanks to BPS Director of Technology Chris Oliver for making this happen behind the scenes!!

Last month, the BES PTA brought back the incomparable Toe Jam Puppet Band for an awesome night of music, dancing, silliness, and so much fun! Be sure to join us for our January Family Fun Night as the BES PTA teams up with Bournedale's annual Math Night event on Wednesday January 15th.

Last month, the BIS PTA put on their annual holiday bingo event complete with cookies, hot cocoa, and prizes! Participants are invited to dress in the very best of their worst holiday attire 😜 What a great family event to kick off the holiday season!

Come one, come all for a carnival themed event featuring games, prizes, and a little math magic as the BES PTA teams up with Bournedale's annual math night event.

BES Book Nook

It's our first Book Nook of 2025! Once a month, students can choose to purchase a book for just $1 after they finish eating lunch. Got books to donate? The BES PTA is in need of early readers and early chapter books for our 1st and 2nd graders. (Lots of preschool & picture books in stock!) BIS All-Star Revue

The big show is approaching fast and tickets go on sale to the public Friday January 24th! Save the date and get ready to see rising stars from Bourne Intermediate School 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade in some of your favorite music theater numbers. Directed by Mary Murphy, All-Star Revue is where many of our BMS and BHS theater stars got their start. Now celebrating over 30 years! Also, Bourne PTA is excited to announce that this year's show logo was designed by one of our All-Stars, Fiona Dwyer. Great work!!

Each school has a committee that meets just once a month for about an hour. All are welcome to join or attend and you can always choose how you want to be involved, whether a lot, or just a little. We are Bourne parents, caregivers, educators, and community members serving all four of our public schools. We organize and fund activities and field trips, provide support for our teachers and schools, and promote family engagement, quality education, student health, and safety. This year, get involved and help enrich our school experience and be a voice for not only your student, but all!

Did you know that textiles are banned from disposal in MA? However, it's easy to donate at each of our PTA bins at all four schools. Though the items donated may not stay local, but the funds raised do! They help fund PTA scholarships for BHS seniors! See our list and see everything you can donate. Just make sure it's clean, dry, and bagged before dropping items in the bins.
