January 2023
Happy New Year! It was great to see everyone back on campus. Just a few reminders for second semester.
- Attendance- Students are required to be in attendance 90% of the days a class is offered to receive credit for the class and avoid truancy violations.
- Grades- Report Card 2 grades will be posted to Skyward portfolio on January 6, 2023.

West Fork Safety & Security
This notice is to inform you of policies from the NCISD Student Code of Conduct that help us maintain a safe school environment. It is important to review these expectations with your child.
Student ID’s
Students must wear their ID at all times during the school day. Temporary IDs may be purchased at the front office for a fee of $1.00. Replacement IDs may be purchased for $8.00 (ID & Lanyard)
Cell Phones
Cell phones must remain off or silenced. They must be stored out of sight either in backpacks or on your person throughout the instructional day. Use is only allowed before school, during lunch, passing periods, or after school. Teachers may collect the items and turn them into the principal’s office. The parent may pick up the confiscated cell phone from the principal’s office and will be charged a fee of $15.
Vaping or electronic vaporizing device
Vape devices and tobacco products are strictly prohibited. Any student caught in possession of any type of vaping device will be placed at DAEP for a 30-day placement period.
THC vaping remains a felony offense and as such, is subject to a mandatory placement at JJAEP for 180 days.
Dress Code
Some common violations include pajama bottoms, cropped shirts, hats/hoodies and leggings. Legging must be covered by a top layer that extends beyond the fingertips. Students who violate the dress code must correct the violation immediately.
Doors
Students will enter through the front door or the doors from the bus ramp. Students should never prop a door open or open a door for someone to gain entry. Students and visitors are required to enter the building through the front door, and visitors must check in with the office staff. Leaving a door unsecured or allowing unauthorized access to any person is a violation of the NCISD Code of Conduct any may result in a DAEP placement.
Fighting
Physical aggression; threatening or intimidating conduct; or other kinds of aggressive conduct will not be tolerated at school or at a school-related or school-sponsored event. Students who engage in such conduct will be subject any one or combination of consequences. (suspension, removal from the regular education setting, loss of privileges, exclusion from extracurricular activities and a referral to law enforcement)
Students are expected to show self-control by resolving issues with peers in an appropriate manner or seeking a trusted adult to help resolve conflicts.
Capturing unauthorized images
Use of a device to record images that disrupt the normal school environment is prohibited. Recording unauthorized images, images that disrupt the school or capturing images that promote violence is prohibited and students will be subject to discipline according to the NCISD Code of Conduct. Use of cameras in a restroom or locker room is strictly prohibited.
Deliveries
Deliveries for students may not be made by any business or individual other than the parent/guardian or emergency contact listed in Skyward Family Access. (no food delivery services such as Door Dash are allowed during school hours)
Safe School Reporting
West Fork is committed to a safe and secure school so that students have the best environment for learning. Students, staff, and the public are encouraged to report any concerns regarding school safety to school administration. Reports can be made directly to school officials or through the district’s Safe School Reporting program available on all school websites.
Grade Reporting
Report Card 2 will be posted to Skyward portfolio on or before January 6, 2023.
