Dewey's Updates!

Each year, the Davie County High School Band Program runs a Dewey's Store. This store is an extension of the Dewey's Bakery, which specializes in Moravian Cookies (thin, crispy cookies), in addition to coffee cakes, sugar cakes, and more.

Each year, Dewey's Bakery finds non-profit organizations to run satellite stores where the organization can earn funds to go towards their programs. We are LUCKY to have the ability to run a satellite store every year. This fundraiser brings in $20,000+ for us a year! It is the LIFEBLOOD of our program and keeps us moving forward financially. Not having our Dewey's Store would be DETRIMENTAL to our program!

Our Dewey’s Store fundraiser is crucial to the success of the Davie County High School Band Program, as it helps raise $20,000+, which is around 75% of our program’s budget. This funding directly supports essential items like buses, music, instruments, stands, chairs, and more. We need volunteers to make this event a success—your support is vital in ensuring our program continues to thrive financially!

We have 170+ band students in our Davie County High School Program. We have 212 volunteer slots. These slots are 3 hours in length. You would be working the register, restocking, and enjoying time with friends while supporting the band kids!

If every band family signed up AT LEAST 2-3 shifts - 1. We would NEVER have to close the store due to lack of workers. 2. You would only need to sign up for a minimal amount of shifts.

To continue to provide the kids with the best, we have to have ALL HANDS ON DECK for this! WE DON'T SELL COOKIE DOUGH, POPCORN, TUMBLERS, PIZZA KITS, ETC. The only reason we do not sell these things is BECAUSE OF DEWEY'S!
