Registration opens on April 1.
Wabasha County 4-H will cover $200 of the registration fee for this leadership event.
May 15 Animal ID Deadline
The animal ID deadline for all livestock (except market beef and dairy steers) is May 15! Please fill out this form or contact the office before you stop by to get yours. You can find more information about animal IDs on the Extension website.
Livestock Quality Assurance & Ethics Training Opportunities
Livestock Quality Assurance & Ethics (LQA&E) training helps youth provide excellent care for their animals and ensure a high level of food safety to consumers. This training was designed to enhance the educational experience of 4-H animal science projects.
LQA&E training is required for all state fair exhibitors. Youth must provide the Extension Office with proof of the completed training by livestock check-in day at the Wabasha County Fair to be eligible for a State Fair trip. Youth may complete an in-person training which is good for three fair seasons or the online YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of Animals) training which is valid for one fair season. Contact the office with questions.
