What's Happening This Week?
Happy Sunday! We are wrapping up February this week. 3rd-5th graders will do another LEAP practice test session. All students are continuing to work in class and on their iReady lessons. Students are working in class, in small groups and working to learn and grow. Each day counts so please help us to make sure they are here each day. If students are too sick to attend school, please send in their doctor's notes when they return. Doctor's notes can also be emailed or faxed to school. Call the office is you need help. We have another opportunity for 3rd-5th grade parents that weren't able to make it to Math and Science night. The 3rd-5th Data Chat is Thursday from 4-5. We are setting goals for each 3rd-5th grader for LEAP and want to share that with all parents. Our youngest Broncos will have their Pre-K Krewe Mardi Gras parade this week. If you have any beads to donate, please drop them off at the office by Wednesday. 2nd grade Parent Picnic is this Friday. Teachers will send information on your child's lunch time on Remind this week. If it rains, we will have to reschedule. See below for 2nd grade Parent Picnic flyer for more info. It's a great week to be a Bronco!

CAR POOL HELP NEEDED...
Parents, we will be shifting car pool loading and unloading area soon due to construction. This will be even more important for you to not arrive early. We will post information and directions of when this shift will begin. If you would like to move your child to the bus to avoid the car line, please call the office and we can help. We appreciate your patience with the construction and our car line.
We really need your help parents! We have so many parents in car line that it's causing issues. If you get here BEFORE we start unloading, the line is backing up to the road and that's not safe. If you get here and the line is already to the turn, PLEASE pull up and don't leave any gaps. If you see a bus needing to get out, please yield to the bus so they can get out otherwise you can pull up and you DO NOT have to keep those gaps open. Please, please don't get here before 7:00. You need to arrive between 7 and be here before 8:00. If you arrive right at the bell, the duty teachers have to get to their classes. They can't stay there because the line just gets bigger and bigger after the bell. We know this can be frustrating but need you to understand that there has to be an end or they'd never get to their class. If you want to start your child on the bus, call and we can help get that started. THANK YOU for your cooperation and assistance.

We are so thankful for Mrs. Canada and her connection to her students!
Mrs. Canada has been a champion of the Capturing Kids' Hearts EXCEL model all year. She greets each class at the door and makes time for each class to share good things daily. At the end of class, she launches her students with a class motto.
Thank you Mrs. Canada for everything you are doing for your students and our school.
Thank you Ms. Petty!
Ms. Petty can be seen all over campus teaching counseling lessons, meeting with groups, and counseling individual students. On Thursday, one student was having a rough time returning to class so Ms. Petty sat down next to him the hall and began talking to him. Within a few minutes he was able to reset and return to class. Thanks for all the little things you do each day that add up to make a big impact!

Home Connection Activity
Parents, talk with your child about ways to show kindness. Kindness is shown in many ways both at home and school. Taking turns, helping others and using kind words when talking are just some of the ways that we use kindness each day. Have your child draw a picture of them showing kindness and write an explanation of how they are showing kindess in the picture. Students can turn them into their teachers to share during morning time.
