A Letter From the Principal
Dear Families of Lake Creek Learning Center,
Welcome back to the 2024-2025 school year at Lake Creek Learning Center! I hope you all had a wonderful summer filled with fun, relaxation, and memorable moments with your loved ones.
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Lake Creek Learning Center. My name is Jodi Salinas, and I am deeply honored to join this vibrant community. I bring with me 17 years of experience as an elementary teacher and 10 years as an administrator. I am also proud to be a graduate of Eagle Point High School.
I am eager to give back to the community that has given me so much. My educational journey has been fueled by a passion for fostering a love of learning, encouraging creativity, and ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.
At Lake Creek, we recognize that every student has their own distinctive educational path. Lake Creek Learning Center is designed to operate with smaller classrooms and class sizes, which allows for more one-on-one time with teachers. Our family-style schoolhouse is surrounded by wildlife, which creates interactive opportunities for student engagement and new experiences. Lake Creek Learning Center is the only one of its kind in District 9. I believe that strong partnerships between school and home are key to student success, and I look forward to partnering with each of you.
As we embark on this new school year, please know that my door is always open. I welcome your ideas, questions, and feedback. Together, we will create an exceptional learning experience for our children.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. I am excited to work together to make this a fantastic year filled with growth, discovery, and achievement.
Warm regards,
Jodi Salinas
Principal

iPad Protection Plan
Each school year, EPSD9 offers an optional iPad Protection Plan to students and families. This annual Protection Plan is effective from the first day school starts to the day before school starts the following academic year. The cost for the Protection Plan is $25.00. There is a family cap of $100.00. The Protection Plan will provide coverage for repair or replacement on and off school grounds for incidents described below. Without the Protection Plan, students will be responsible for all repair or replacements costs.
If your student did not have the Protection Plan during the prior school year, their school for the current school year will need to verify the condition of the iPad prior to accepting the Protection Plan fee payment. Before the iPad is covered under the Protection Plan, the device must be inspected to ensure it's:
- Operational: Demonstrate that the device powers on
- Free of cracks on the screen: best to see this with the screen illuminated by an external light source with the screen powered off
- The case is in fair condition without writing or pen marks and can protect the device (flap/keyboard attached during inspection)
Note: Cases/covers and case/cover parts (case frame and detachable keyboard (where applicable) that serves as a protective cover) should be accounted for at the inspection.
For more information, visit the iPad Protection Plan Information page on our website. iPad Protection Plan Decline forms are available in the ERE Front Office.
