Chippewa Middle School
Chipp Snips
WEEK OF AUGUST 12 - 16
Dear Chippewa Families and Students,
We look forward to meeting you this Thursday, August 15 from 9:00-2:00 at Kick Start! As shared in our previous Chipp Snips, Kick Start is an informal time for students to tour the building. Caregivers are welcome to join. A packet will be addressed for each student which will include their class schedule and other important information. Locker assignments and combinations will be printed on the class schedule to provide students an opportunity to locate their locker. Please note staff will be in the hallways for support and not in their classrooms for a meet and greet.
Please note CMS does not incorporate school pictures at Kick Start. Picture day is scheduled for September 11. Picture retakes are scheduled on October 15th.
If you are unable to attend August 15, your student’s packet will be available the first day of school. Lastly, please be reminded students can access their class schedule via PowerSchool today after 5:00pm. If your student has a question regarding their schedule, please have them email their grade level counselor and wait patiently for a response - Mrs. Stuible (7th grade) and Ms. Fedrigo.
PARKING AND ENTRANCE DURING KICK START
The main parking lot (corner of Kinawa and Okemos Road) will be open. However, please note due to construction our parking is limited. If you plan to bring and stay with your child, you can park in the main parking lot and enter door 1 (main entrance). If this parking lot is full, 242 Church has graciously offered to open their lot for an overflow lot. We will have an OPS bus loop between the two locations for pick up and drop off. Thank you to both our transportation department and 242 Church for offering this service!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Noble
CMS Principal
