Hello Gaston Elementary Families!
We've reached the end of another wonderful school year filled with learning and fun. As we head into summer break, I wanted to share an important update for the 2024-2025 school year. Starting next year, the district has decided to implement blended classes at the elementary school. This change is designed to maintain small class sizes across all grade levels, ensuring that each student receives the best possible learning experience.
To make this transition smooth and effective, I have strategically planned the schedule to allow for core reading and math instruction in smaller groups at straight grade levels. This approach will allow our dedicated staff to focus on each students' individual needs, promoting a more personalized and impactful learning environment.
We are confident that this new structure will be a great success thanks to our committed staff and the strong systems we have in place here at Gaston Elementary. We're looking forward to a fantastic next school year, and we hope you have a great summer!

Hagg Lake Concerts
For the second year in a row, we are thrilled to partner with Centro Cultural's
"Las Mariposas Folklóricas" for our opening act at both shows.
Catering to two age groups-grades K-2 and grades 3-5, "Las Mariposas Folklóricas" introduce students to the diverse dance rhythms from various Mexican regions. Through these practices, children not only deepen their connection to Latin Heritage but also develop discipline and passion, refining their stage presence. These young talents don't just practice; they shine, performing at numerous events throughout Washington County.
