Egg Harbor Township High School
Week of February 4, 2024
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
Dear EHTHS Families,
Welcome back to another edition of the EHTHS Weekly! We are excited to share with you information about our students and upcoming opportunities happening in our school community.
Let's first shine a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of our Class of '24 members outside the classroom. Seniors were given the chance to nominate their peers for recognition and we're thrilled to share Season 1, Episode 1 featuring Gianna Fermane. Kudos to Keri Coupland for her fantastic filming and editing skills! Check out the video by CLICKING HERE.
We also had a blast at the Academic Challenge Club and Unified Club's "Winter Quiz Bowl." Students from both clubs teamed up to tackle trivia questions, fostering collaboration and camaraderie. It was such a hit that we would like to make it an annual tradition!
In other news, our second-semester Clinical Research and Observation senior Medical Science Academy students are gearing up for their fieldwork observations next week. They'll have the opportunity to shadow various medical placements in our community and gain firsthand insights into the world of healthcare. A big shout out to the medical establishments partnering with our academy for this invaluable experience: All About Eyes, Curexa Pharmacy, JAG-ONE Physical Therapy, Optimal Health, Rainbow Pediatrics, Rothman Institute at AtlantiCare and the Shore Physicians Group.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the PACE Parent Night. It was a fantastic opportunity for parents and students to learn more about our program and its positive impacts on post-high school job preparation. PACE is truly a phenomenal program that equips students with real-life work skills for their future endeavors.
Special congratulations to the Girls Basketball team for winning their first every CAL tournament game against Cedar Creek. We wish them lots of luck on Saturday as they take on Middle Township (Away) at 5 p.m.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for the Interact Club's Paint Your Pet event on Sunday, February 18th. Get ready to unleash your inner artist as you paint your furry friend on a 16x20 canvas. For more information, check out the flier below.
And don't forget about this year's spring musical, Chicago! Get ready to be dazzled by our talented Cast, Crew, and Orchestra from March 7-10. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 12 at 3PM, so be sure to grab yours and support the production.
Have a wonderful weekend!

#DAY 1
The High School will be continuing with this bullying-prevention program for this school year!
#DAY1--a staff and student-led philosophy that will serve to foster a building-wide atmosphere of kindness and inclusion.
This program was started a few years ago in Bergen County by the Tyler Clementi Foundation and has gained momentum throughout the state and country for use in schools, community groups, workplaces, and sports teams.
The premise is simple: the adults in the building make a “declaration statement” about behavior that is expected, as well as behavior that is unacceptable, and we all pledge to conduct ourselves accordingly. This includes seeking help when we witness unacceptable behavior occurring.
This notion is called being an #Upstander
Has your student taken their #Upstander Pledge yet?!?
Have them sign into their school account and click here! 😊
