In the words of St. Paul, we have fought the good fight, we have remained faithful, and we have finished the race. Thank you for a wonderful 2023-2024 school year! I pray the summer affords you some rest, relaxation, and time together as a family.

Reflecting back on this school year, I am incredibly proud of all that we have accomplished as a school community:

• Students continue to grow academically in our classrooms. It is amazing to see how far so many of our students have progressed in their academic abilities from September to today. Thank you to our incredible teaching staff for all of their hard work!
• Students also continue to be presented with opportunities to grow in their faith whether that be through weekly middle school Mass attendance, our new Biblically based Friendzy program, Grades 4-8 Youth Group (which will be starting up in the Summer months soon!), or our annual Faith Rally held during Catholic Schools Week.
• Work on our 4-Year Strategic Plan has continued, with this year focused largely on mathematics instruction. I am pleased to share that we have finalized a revised math scope and sequence which will be implemented in full at the start of the upcoming 24-25 school year. We hope to see continued and improved growth across the grade levels in math in the upcoming year! In addition, as part of our 4-Year Strategic Plan, the upcoming 2024-2025 school year will be focused on social studies instruction and curriculum.
• Due to the continued success of our Annual Auction, we have once again purchased new classroom furniture for two classrooms! The new student desks and chairs are schedule to arrive in July and will be installed for the start of the 24-25 school year.
• We introduced a range of new extracurriculars across the grade levels including expanding art club offerings, the return of middle school volleyball after many years without a team, and numerus martial arts offerings throughout the course of the year.

With all of this and more in mind, we are grateful that enrollment at Father Doyle School continues to grow, including the opening of our third pre-kindergarten classroom at the start of the 2024-2025 school year!

None of this would be possible without your continued support of our school and its mission. So thank you for believing in our school and entrusting your children to us. It has been an honor and a privilege working alongside you this school year.

A few other notes regarding the conclusion of the school year:

• Over the summer months, the Weekly Newsletter will move to a bi-weekly format. The next Weekly Newsletter will be sent Friday, June 28th.
• Please see below for important information regarding bussing for the 2024-2025 school year.
• In addition, please be sure to review the Nurse's Corner below for information regarding School Nurse forms for the upcoming year.

If you are a Coventry resident and your child/ren will require bussing for the 2024-2025 school year, you must sign up using the form here. Please note, you must sign up each year. Registration does not carry over from one year to the next.

In addition, please note that there will be some changes to bus stop locations in the year ahead. Please see the message here for more information.

Our Parish is now recruiting for new Altar Servers, and there will be having an Altar Server Training Class, Saturday June 15 from 1 to 3pm in the Church. All boys and girls who are parishioners at Ss. John and Paul, are entering 4th grade or above next school year, and have made their First Communion are eligible to become an Altar Server. If you are interested, please fill out the form below and return it to Mrs. Jarvis or Fr. Woolley.

Our Parish will be having its annual Ss. John and Paul Feast Day Mass and Multi Ethnic Pot Luck Dinner, Tuesday June 25 5:30pm Mass in the Church and Dinner to follow in the Parish Hall. Tickets are $15 adults, children 18 and under free, and will go on sale after all the weekend Masses beginning June 15. We are currently looking for families to make entrees, apps, salads or desserts for the dinner; if you make a great Italian, Mexican, Spanish, Vietnamese, Portuguese, French Canadian, American or any other ethnic dish, please see the sign up form in the attached flyer, or call the Rectory at 821-5764.

You can order your uniforms directly through the school here or though our app. You can always order directly through Donnelly's. If you are ordering uniforms directly from the school, and need help with sizing or help ordering , please schedule a time with Mrs. Jarvis or Mrs. Marra. If you are ordering directly through Donnelly's please make an appointment through their website for sizing and help ordering . It is highly recommend that all orders be in by July 1st to ensure you receive your uniforms on time!

We are happy to bring back a way for our families to save some money on school gym shirts. In order to get the best pricing, we will be bulk ordering these items. T-shirts are $10, and Sweatshirts are $17. Because this is a bulk order all student orders must be placed by July 1st. (No Exceptions) Gym shirts can be ordered at. https://fjvduniforms.square.site They will be shipped to the school and we will set up a time to pick them up prior to the first week of school. (Gym shirts can still be ordered from Donnelly’s or the school website at regular price at any time.)

The Mission of Father John V. Doyle School is to provide students with a solid, well-rounded education based on Roman Catholic Tradition.

We live the Word of God in a caring, safe, and nurturing environment.

The following forms are due at the start of the 2024-2025 School Year:

• Dental Form (not mandatory for day one, but it sure would be nice!)
• Medication Consent Form for any prescribed medication from a physician
• Medication Consent Form for OTC medications for grades 6 – 8 signed by parent/guardian
• Individual Health Care Plan (IHCP) for any child with Asthma, Diabetes, or an Allergy Treatment Plan (this is for food allergies, bee stings, or any other offender that can cause Anaphylaxis)

All of these forms have a hyperlink in the Nurse's Corner on our school website. These forms are all due on or before the first day of school and any associated medication is due the first day of school as well. If the medication has not been provided the child cannot attend school until such medication is received.
