Welcome back to a brand-new school year at LECC. I hope you all had a wonderful summer filled with joy, relaxation, and adventure. As we prepare to embark on this exciting new academic year, we wanted to take a moment to extend a heartfelt welcome to each of you.

Our team has been working diligently over the summer to ensure that our school environment is ready to provide a stimulating, nurturing, and safe space for all of our Tiger Cubs. We have a fantastic year planned for your children and excited to be partners with you in their education.

Our goal is to make this school year an enriching and memorable experience for your child. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

We are excited to announce some wonderful additions to our teaching staff at LECC for the upcoming school year!

These talented educators bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and expertise to our school. They are dedicated to providing an engaging and supportive learning environment for our students. We are confident that their contributions will enrich our educational programs and enhance the overall school experience.

Our new teachers will be working closely with our current staff to ensure a smooth transition and to continue providing the high-quality education that our school is known for. They are excited to meet and collaborate with our students, families, and the broader school community.

We invite you to extend a warm welcome to our new team members. We are thrilled to have them on board and look forward to a fantastic year ahead.

• Preschool Parent/Caregiver Information Event (PS PIN Night): September 5th 5:00pm-6:00pm

We are working hard to get things ready here for our LECC Tiger Cubs. We wanted to make sure that our families were aware of a change we have made for our start of the year. In order for teachers to get a good read on your child’s needs for the year, we will have 4 transition days here at LECC. This is different from other buildings in the district. The reasoning for the four days is to allow time for screening and evaluations that help us know your child better. The transition days allow for a smaller number of student to teacher ratios and provides time for teachers to cover important things with your child.

The following days are our transition days:

Aug 14, 2024 Aug 15, 2024 Aug 16, 2024 and Aug 19, 2024. Your child will attend ONE of these days and remain home the other three. The official full class will attend Aug 20, 2024. You will receive your child’s homeroom information and transition day information on August 1st via email.

We wanted to get this information out to you at this time so that you can begin planning for childcare arrangements.

If your student is a bus rider and will be picked up or dropped off anywhere other than home during the 2024-25 school year, please let our Transportation Department know. For example, if your student will be dropped off to an after-school caregiver on certain days, our Transportation Department needs that information to plan school bus routes. Please only request transportation for your student if you intend to use it. If your circumstances change and you need transportation at some point during the school year, you can always request it by contacting our transportation department.

• We will be doing health screening at LECC the first days of school. We will not be scheduling Vision and Hearing test over the summer like we have done in the past. More information will be coming from Treva Lyke, our District Nurse and Jessica Bruce, our LECC Health Aide.
• Please return a completed Immunization Record from your child's physician to the LECC From Office or upload to Final Forms prior to the first day of school.

AM Half-Day Start Time: 8:00 am

AM Half-Day Dismissal: 10:50 am

PM Half-Day Start Time: 12:00 pm

PM Half-Day Dismissal: 2:50 pm
