The Patrick Parent Weekly

Announcements and Reminders
Principal's message
Patrick Families,
This first week of September certainly did not unfold the way that we expected. I want to thank you for your questions and words of encouragement as we watched a tragedy unfold just down the road from us. Many in our community have been personally impacted by the tragic events at Apalachee High School and all of us have been impacted by the news.
I want to reassure you that the staff at Patrick remains focused and committed to ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all students and staff. As a precautionary measure related to unconfirmed threats at the middle school, outdoor recess was canceled today. Our goal is to continue to provide an environment that is committed to safety and allows us all to focus on teaching and learning.
I want to thank you for the trust and belief you have demonstrated in us this week. Students came to school on Thursday happy and ready to learn. It was wonderful to see children loving school and feeling safe. Though the adults felt a caution, the children engaged in being children - something I know we all wish for them every day.
We will continue to strive every day to provide a learning experience that is safe and engaging. We will continue to seek your partnership in our work.
I wish you each a restful weekend.
All my best,
Dr. Ellyce Cone
Multicultural Night Parent Involvement
Patrick's second annual Multicultural Night is Thursday, September 26 from 6:00-7:30pm. Last year, one of the best parts of our evening was Patrick parents sharing parts of their native countries and cultures through food, clothing, art, etc. This year we would love to expand this idea with MORE! More parent involvement and more parts of our world represented.
If you would like to share your culture with the Patrick Community, please fill out the form below.
