Message from the Principal
March has arrived! We have three solid weeks of teaching and learning before we hit Spring Break, and we are ready for it. 📚
Our annual Science Fair is next Wednesday, from 6-8pm. We hope everyone is able to come by and see all the scientific discoveries our Findley Dragons have made. Please take a look at the specifics below for information about the evening.
Lastly, tomorrow, our championship OBOB team, the Chapter Champions will be competing in the regional OBOB competition. We are so proud of all our OBOB competitors, especially our champs! Good luck, Chapter Champions! We're rooting for you!
With Gratitude,
Sherry Marsh, Ed.D.
Principal

Habits of Mind Series-THINKS STRATEGICALLY
As shared in previous editions of the Dragon News, as a school community we are working on naming and noticing our Habits of Mind. Habits of Mind are dispositions and behaviors that support learning, both as individuals and as a community.
In this edition, we are highlighting the Habit of Mind Thinking Strategically! When students are able to think strategically, they use strategies to solve problems and regulate their emotions. They find joy in solving challenges, demonstrate flexible thinking and approach situations with curiosity.

BSD Math Placement Testing for 5th Grade Families
About 9 out of 10 BSD students will be enrolled in “Math 6/7” for math next year. If you would like your student evaluated to determine whether “Math 7/8" or “Alg/Geo/Stats 1” would be appropriate instead, please see the BSD Math Placement Testing site to request testing.
All testing will take place in May at your student’s school during their school day. There will be no testing for current students after May. If you have any questions, please refer to the FAQ on the BSD Math Placement Testing site.
