Update/ School News
- All student drivers must park in their assigned parking spots. Your parking permit number corresponds to your designated parking spot, and you must park only in that spot. Please ensure you follow this policy to avoid any potential penalties or disruptions.
- EVERY STUDENT needs to have this form filled out. The 2024-25 Student Benefits Form (Household Income Data Collection) information is used to help provide school meals at no charge to all students, along with other districtwide services. It also provides individual benefits to students and families such as:
- discounts for summer and recreational programs
- internet access
- fee waivers for SAT and AP testing and college applications
- eligibility for Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
- Tickets for Homecoming will be sold at lunches this week. $12 per ticket! Homecoming October 5th at 7:30pm to 10pm! No tickets will be sold to a student with an obligation. This includes the PowerSchool student update found in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Office referrals will result in loss of homecoming privileges.
- Out of school guest forms for homecoming can be found in the main office before and after school and in the cafeteria during lunches.
- At Colonel Richardson High School, students are not permitted to carry medication while in school. All medication must have a doctor’s order and be administered through the nurse's office. Mrs. Hoffman, our school nurse, is the only person authorized to administer medication to students during school hours. Parents or guardians must provide proper documentation to Mrs. Hoffman for medication to be dispensed throughout the school day. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Hoffman directly.
- The Student Equity Team will be holding our first meeting next Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the cafeteria. This is an important opportunity for all students interested in promoting equity and inclusion at our school to come together and share ideas. Students that were completed the interest form will receive an email from Mr. Oberdorf with additional details. See you there!
Evening School will begin on Monday, September 30, 2024. Sessions will run from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. If you're interested in attending, please make sure to submit your Evening School applications to your counselor as soon as possible. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for additional learning opportunities.
