EASTER TRADITIONS AT HOLY TRINITY UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH

Holy Week is an important time for Christians throughout the world. Holy Week, the final week of Lent, begins on Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter. Holy Week is a time when Catholics gather to remember and participate in the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Passion was the final period of Christ’s life in Jerusalem. It spans from when He arrived in Jerusalem to when He was crucified.

St. Mary's wants to extend a huge thank you to Father Damian Dutka and our very own EICS Trustee Teresa Makowecki from Holy Trinity for spending time with our students over Holy Week explaining the Ukrainian Easter Traditions of Paska and Pysanka making.

Parent-Teacher Conferences can be booked through the SCHOOL INTERVIEWS Website. During this assessment period we will be offering a hybrid of in-person, phone call, and virtual meetings in order to meet family preferences.

Once booked the Student Interviews Website allows you to pick an In-Person Meeting, Online Video Meeting or Phone Call Option for your time slot. We are looking forward to connecting with our families of STMY!

Report Card comments and assessments are on Powerschool and they should be visible. Our teachers look forward to meeting with you and your child.

The Bio 20 class from the first semester was finally able to head down to Kananaskis for their Spring Break Field Trip. They had a fantastic time of fun and learning in the beautiful wilderness of Alberta. Thank you to Miss Yaremcio and all of the parent volunteers who helped supervise this fantastic opportunity. The Vegreville & District Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with, The Town of Vegreville is

hosting a Multi-Industry Career Fair.

As another school year is coming to an end students will be looking for employment. We have

a diverse employment opportunity for the students as a summer job or a career for the future.

We hope to see you and the students at the Career Fair. The Multi-Industry Career Fair will take place on April 12, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

• AMH Education Services, Edmonton Zone, is proud to offer free addiction, mental health, and executive functioning virtual programming for parents and caregivers of children and youth, as well as sessions for all adults.

• On the website, you will find additional resource links to a variety of community websites, webinars, handouts, and modules on addiction and mental health topics pertaining to children and youth. These resources were gathered and reviewed by a mental health professional as part of the Building Service Capacity for Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Primary Care and Pediatrics project in partnership with Alberta Health Services, the Edmonton Zone Primary Care Networks, and CASA Mental Health.
