CMS PEEK AT THE WEEK

Hello, CMS Parents/Guardians! This newsletter is an update of what is going on at CMS this week.

Welcome back from a extra long weekend! We enjoyed seeing all the pictures of our students and their families enjoying some time in the snow.

Please encourage your student to wear weather appropriate clothing to school. All students travel between CMS and CHS at least twice daily, more for students who have a class at CHS.

This week the temperatures will be cold, but they will be warm enough to go outside after lunch most days. To stay warm, students need to dress accordingly and wear a jacket.

• Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is Monday, January 20th. We are out of school on this day.
• Students chose their new club for the 3rd quarter last week. They will meet with them Friday.
• Basketball season is still in full swing.
• Students received a reading Bingo card in their ELA classes last week. Students receive prizes if they get bingos and if they complete a "black out." Students read books that fit the criteria in each square and take/pass an AR test to get a stamp. Please encourage your students to read and win prizes!

JANUARY IS SCHOOL BOARD APPRECIATION MONTH!

• Report cards will be sent home with students.

Tuesday (14th)

• JVB, JB, SB @ home (Subiaco) 5:00

Wednesday (15th)

• Talent Search will meet with participating students during Success.

Thursday (16th)

• JG, SG, SB @ home (Decatur) 4:30

Friday (17th)

• JVG, JVB, SG, SB @ Lavaca 5:00

Saturday (18th)

• 7th Grade Jamboree @ Mansfield
