October- The Month of the Rosary

In accordance with tradition, the Catholic Church assigns a specific devotion to each month of the year. October is devoted to the Holy Rosary, one of the most recognizable Catholic devotions. This month also encompasses the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7. We invite everyone to participate in a living Rosary after the Mass in Ossian on October 18 at 8:30 and in Spillville on October 19 at 8:45. Your presence is warmly welcomed.

St. Clement's Mass

A unique religious service is scheduled to take place at Saint Clement's Church this Thursday at 9:00. Situated along the banks of Spielman’s Creek, a mile south of Spillville, this quaint rural church was founded by German settlers around 1853. Everyone is invited to join the Mass on Thursday.

Adoration

We are very thankful for Father offering Adoration after Mass. Even though we can pray anywhere, during Adoration Christ is fully present: body and blood, soul and divinity. This intimate time with God has allowed us more time in prayer. Students in Ossian have been learning how to pray Lectio Divina. Father also welcomes those present an opportunity to go to confession. It is truly a blessing to have the chance to partake in this sacrament regularly.
