Titan Families,
We are down to just two weeks of learning and fun left in our 2023-2024 school year! With that, we have a few final dress up days and celebrations. At our PTA spring event, Sofia R.'s family won her the "Principal for a Day" auction item! As acting principal, Sophia declared that Wednesday, May 15, 2024 be Neon Day on campus. So, get your neon gear ready, Titan Community, and plan to shine really bright while she leads the campus with me.
Again, it's time to start soaking in those "last moments" of the school year. Please be sure to look at our many events ahead detailed in this newsletter AND in your Titan(s)'s teacher(s)'s newsletter so you can plan accordingly. If you know of a family who might not be too on top of looking at campus or teacher communication or campus social media and website updates, please support them as you can. We'd hate for anyone to miss out!
Celebrations from the Week:
- Our Teacher, Nurse, and Substitute Appreciation week was phenomenal! Thank you for helping us make our teachers, Nurse Emma, and substitutes feel seen and valued last week. We are thankful that in our Titan Community our staff is celebrated year round through the generous support of our PTA. Our partnership is truly unique, so thank you, families and staff, for being members and for contributing your time and funds to support that effort yearly.
- Student Led Conferences launched last week, and they are such a special moment for us to witness and celebrate. When I joined our campus community, these types of conferences were simply a hope in our community. To see that it came to life this year thanks to our staff and students' efforts is absolutely amazing. Check out some pictures from kindergarten below. If you are unable to attend to see your child's conference, I encourage you to have them celebrate their learning at home with you and your family.
Important Announcements:
- Campus wide student led conferences continue this week! Again, this was a hope and dream on our campus last year from our community, and our staff supported our students in making this come to fruition this year. We are incredibility proud of the progress your Titan(s) made this year. We hope you can come and celebrate it. Check out the info below!
- This week we shine light on our campus Speech Language Pathologists, Megan Whitehurst. She is currently on maternity leave; however, if you send a gift or anything to campus for her, we are more than happy to get it to her. If you have questions about that, please feel free to reach out to our front office team.
Additional Information:
In an effort to enhance security, safety of our students and staff and to improve the efficiency of our routes, for the 2024–2025 school year, all eligible bus riders – new and returning – will be required to register for transportation if they wish to utilize transportation to and/or from school. To guarantee transportation on the first day of the 2024–2025 school year, bus registration for general education riders must be received by Friday, June 14. Registrations received after this date will be processed as soon as possible in the order in which they were received.
